The 2019 elections in Nigeria will be one of the most talked about election in the history of Nigeria as voters awareness seems to be very high. The rampant use of social media and increased interest in personal voters card PVC within the electorate will be giving the campaigns unique and interesting twist.

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC responsible for organising and conducting elections in Nigeria has given all political parties the nod to commence elections campaign for both Presidential and National Assemblies contestants from Sunday, November 18, 2018.

Prior to now the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has released a Timetable and Schedule of Activities that indicates campaigns shall start 90 days before the election day in accordance with Section 99(1) of the Electoral Act, 2010 as amended and in the same terminate 24 hours before the election day.

The Independent Electoral Commission advised all political parties and contestants to conduct themselves in a responsible manner within the ambit of the electoral laws and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Sunday December 1, 2018 will be start date for campaigns for office of State Governors and State Houses of Assemblies across the country.
